Today needs to be dedicated to research and song-writing! Alex invited me to participate on his bill August 1st at some venue in Redwood City, and I need to prep songs for it if I'm going to do it. Which means re-recording tracks with my Mac mic...haha. Gawwwd, I need a fucking preamp or a USB mic or fucking SOMETHING.

Not to mention I'm going to have to get someone to play drums with me for my tracks so I'm not just running an audio clip in the background. D:

But if I pull everything together, I'M PLAYING A SHOW AUGUST 1ST!!!! :D :D :D And I can chose between an hour set or a half hour set, omgggg.

- BOSS RC-20XL Loop Station - Peter's dad pulled this outta storage the other day and I want to play the crap out of it. Fucking incredible-sounding pedal, especially since it seems like you can add + subtract parts at the drop of a hat.
- BOSS AC-3 Acoustic Simulator - I've wanted this for years, no surprise here.
- Fulltone CLYDE Deluxe - I really want a wah pedal too, but I don't want just some crappy wah. I want an old VOX-esc wah. I want that Jimi sound real bad. Plus this has three selectable modes!!

I kinda want the POG, too...Andy's been letting me use his lately and while I love it, I'm still kinda on the fence about it. It's a cool sound but it's almost too obtrusive.

I hung out with Kelly today and had mucho fun! :D I'm still full from the food we had at Japantown, lolz. :P

Got a new hat! Sooo beautiful. ;_;

Dude, yesterday was perfection. I've been working downtown at the Geary store, which is literally a shoebox, but it's so nice; it's like the perfect size. :D They really want us to focus on selling at a more competitive level at this store since they carry so many of the Cassel Goorins (the nice hats that are hand-made in CA), and since you might be the only one working all day, you're really responsible for generating the end of day numbers for your store. I did well on my first two days (for weekdays anyway, which can be a bit slower) so that's definitely a plus.

I had lunch in Union Square and it was just so fucking lovely to sit across from Louis Vuitton and enjoy a BLT. ^__^

Gawwwd, too many cute things on the sales comm. I love this dress so much and it comes up for sale every once in a while but I'm just so, UGH, not in a position to be buying anything. It sucks. :( August 25th will change that around a bit but it's two months away. I'm sure it will be here before I know it but I can barely wait.

The situation with the "band" has kinda turned somewhat for the worst and I won't rant about it right here, right now but Alex, Dave and I might brake off to do our own thing if the next couple of practices don't work out right. Frustrating but maybe a necessity. In a nutshell, we're basically being asked to strip down our abilities to the bear minimum to accommodate one person in particular, but seriously, we can't strip down our playing styles anymore. My style is very base-y/rhythmic in the first place so what more can I do to simplify it? I don't shred, I don't solo wank, etc. And plus, how the hell can we get Dave to "slim down" his playing style? He's a fucking awesome drummer, we can't just have him playing hella simplistic stuff, he's way better than that. :(

I had a weird dream last night. I dreamt that the opening of the BABY store was finally upon us and that I, lil_pandi, moriyama_umi, manmadememories and a bunch of other people were waiting to go in. I was the only one wearing a Metamorphose skirt (black Swan Lake? lol, I don't own that but w/e) and felt out of place. We finally got in and BABY looked like a recreation of Kinokuniya. We all ended up looking at comics and waiting for them to usher us into the clothing room. Some Japanese shop girls came out and everyone rushed to meet them. Isobe walked out of this room right next to me and almost knocked this big box onto his head. My reflexes were faster than normally so I round-housed the box away from him. We ended up chatting in Japanese since no one else seemed to recognize him. Eventually they let us inside and it was lolita fucking paradise; there was a separate section for AatP and I remember almost crying in my dream because I wanted to buy it all but I didn't have enough money.

This question is mainly for the ze local lolis, but when BABY opens, what are you going to buy? I don't really care enough for the bunny bear, but I might buy some of the AatP accessories since I'm guessing I'll still be somewhat broke in August until school starts.

TBH, I want the Horoscope JSK. I think it's sold out online already but maybe they reserved a few for the opening. I don't want to buy something just for the sake of buying something, though. I mean...it IS here to stay. XD;

Thank-you so much to everyone who came to the swap meet yesterday!! I am so surprised we fit that many people in my house, it was incredible!! I'm so happy that everyone had such a good time and that everyone brought so much food + clothes, holy shit!! <3 I didn't buy anything except for some of Adam's wristcuffs which are sooo beautiful, thanks hun! XD The headbow is awesome possum too!

I am SOOOOOOOOOO tired today. I'm off to go play some of our D&D campaign at Tyler's and I'm bringing the ginormous left over back of Costco ships + pico de gallo. My life has been way too busy lately, I need a day of doing nothing (Wednesday + Thursday, I hope I hope)!!!

OMG, SWAP MEET TOMORROW! You guys have no idea how much I did trying to get ready for this.

I cleaned out my entire room, had to hide a whole bunch of stuff I had sitting on the floor, etc. because I figured we can set all the clothes up in there. I cleaned out the living room, vacuumed, steam-mopped the kitchen, bathroom, cleaned the bathroom, swept the patio, etc. and everything's finally coming into place. XD I bought a shitload of stuff from Costco (except I still need more napkins, someone bring some?? ^_~) and I'm hoping everyone will bring a little something-something so we can all eat dinner without going hungry. I also bought three pizzas (which might not be enough, it sounds like there's going to be a lot of people here) so...yeah.

I've had NO time to decide what I'm going to wear but I might just go with my lavender Meta JSK + the new SS shoes I got. XD

Anyways, I gotta go unpack all the soda. See most of you tomorrow! ^_^ I'm so excited!!

And OMG, the swap meet is on Saturday! I NEED TO CLEAN...;___;. I was going to do the majority of it today but my brake light came on and now I have to take my car in (I *hope* the brake fluid just needs re-filling, I can't afford to have my car fixed so soon).

Can any of you guys that aren't bringing anything yet bring chairs? I have a feeling there's going to be a lot of people and we need places to sit. I'd also love it if anyone could bring soda, etc.

Finals are *finally* over and my brain can proceed to enjoy the next couple of months of freedom.

Seriously, these past three weeks have KICKED my ass. My Japanese final was 10+ pages long, I didn't read the last book we were assigned in Celtic Lit so I half-assed the final (albeit successfully), and I spent ten+ hours on Tuesday writing my paper on Takashi Murakami (which was 10+ pages total of writing, 18+ pages total including pictures, works cited, etc.).

AND I AM DONE, FOLKS! I just made some of my pan-fried broccolini to celebrate, woo! :D

Fanime is this weekend and I am *super* excited. My pirate loli outfit for the day is all planned out; I wanted to do something special with my hair but I'm not sure if I should tease the fuck out of it or just braid it into two separate strands (it's so long, these are really my only two options I can personally do). But yeah...I am looking forward to relaxing, maybe watching some new anime, chilling with Tyler (who's going with me! XD), seeing awesomely coordinated lolitas and maybe buying some goods. I already made my list of prioritized items in the dealers room:

1) anything Sailor Moon (as always, this is #1 top priority)
2) Claymore Clare Megahouse 1/8th PVC statue if I can find it for less than $40
3) Five Star Stories? XD Yeah right, Fanime doesn't cater to old-school anime fans anymore. :P
4) Garage kits? Another yeah right. XD;;
